Today is the 10th anniversary of International Day of the Girl Child, a time to celebrate girl changemakers and leaders, focus attention on issues that matter to girls, and amplify girls’ voices on the global stage. As a project dedicated to helping adolescent girls and young women and other women prevent HIV by accelerating introduction and scale-up of new and emerging biomedical prevention products, MOSAIC is dedicated to recognizing girls as leaders in their communities and providing opportunities for young women to be directly involved in the programs designed for them — from the ground up. To mark International Day of the Girl Child 2022, several MOSAIC staff reflect on their own girlhood and give advice to their former selves.
